Back to the Big Screen with Spencer and Sophie

Set in 1980s Dublin, it's a coming-of-age story about music, escape, first love, and one boy forming a band to impress a girl.
We have access to a catalogue of over 5,000 films that we believe we can license for cinema screenings — from cult classics and independents to iconic titles like The Thing, The Terminator, and Metropolis. You can also request to screen your own film or video, provided you own (or can prove) the screening rights.
We encourage creators to share and promote their screening as much as possible. However, if a screening doesn't reach its funding target, it won't go ahead and everyone who backed it will receive a full refund, including you. No risk, no awkward chasing.
We hope so! We're constantly adding new cinema partners. If your local cinema isn't listed yet, point them our way and ask them to join Screenwave — the more interest they see, the faster it tends to happen.
You can choose from a range of proposed dates, which vary by cinema and availability. Some dates may be limited due to blockbuster releases or existing bookings. In rare cases, we may need to slightly amend the date if a screen becomes unavailable. If that happens:
Nothing is locked in until funding is complete.
Sharing is key. Direct messages to friends and family work best, followed by posts in:

Some films are temporarily unavailable due to studio holds or rights restrictions. Availability can change month to month, so if a title isn't showing now, it may appear later.
